Following a hearing before a Medicare Administrative Law Judge, Nicholson & Eastin attorney Erin Bengele received a fully favorable decision overturning an overpayment assessment by Medicare against our surgeon client.  Ms. Bengele argued SafeGuard Services, LLC, IntegriGuard, LLC, and the Q2 Administrators improperly interpreted coding criteria as it relates to NCCI edits for a particular set of procedures.  Ms. Bengele presented expert witness testimony that the judge accepted, rejecting the testimony of the Medicare expert witness.
